Old Buttons Shop is the website of Sylvia Llewelyn, a Qualified Valuer of Antiques and Art who has been collecting and dealing in buttons for many years in London, around the UK, and in Budapest, Hungary. Her collection features unique historical examples dating from 450 BC to the present day.
The 'Old Buttons' Book & Price Guide
Published in 2011, 'Old Buttons' features 900 individual photos of historical buttons alongside a complimentary Price Guide. It has sold over 2,000 copies worldwide, trusted by major institutions including the V&A Museum in London, the Louvre Decorative Arts Museum in Paris, and museums across Budapest.
The Button Museum & Tearoom
Located in the picturesque cultural river village of Ráckeve, just outside Budapest. It features an extensive collection of buttons, Hungarian nostalgic items, folk art, and curious antiques. The space also functions as an English Tearoom and Pancake House with an undercover garden terrace seating up to 20 guests.
